Tough Chik Ladies Night @ OutSpoken | Feb. 2, 2012!

Calling All Lady Cyclists!

Shannon Carson — founder of Tough Chik Performance Clothing — is hosting a Tough Chik Ladies Night here at our shop on Thursday, February 2, 2012, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.

The evening (featuring some fantastic wine & light appetizers) will give all you women cycling advocates, roadies, commuters and mountain bikers alike some excellent input on basic bicycle maintenance and  safe road riding. You will also have the opportunity to check out some of Tough Chick’s brand new 2012 gear and try a chance at a free raffle for some quality ladies cycling goods.  It will also be a great networking opportunity for you to meet other women cyclists in the region — we are not as few and far between as you may think!

Also – our rep from from Orbea will be here  to talk to the group about bike fitting and women’s saddles. And our rep from Highway 2–our supplier of Brooks, Continental, Fi’zi:k, Selle Royal and Crank Brothers-will be in attendance to discuss the women’s specific road shoes

• Basic Bicycle Maintenance Demonstrations – Learn how to fix a flat, properly inflate your tubes, lube your chain & adjust your cable tension!
• Road Cycling Safety Tips – Learn some excellent ways to be safer out there in the bike lane
• Gear Discussions on Fitting, saddles, Shoes – Orbea & Highway 2 reps will be onsite to discuss
• A Peak at Tough Chik’s Awesome 2012 Gear – Shannon’s clothing line – for women, by women – will be present in full force at Ladies Night, available for purchase!
• Free Raffle – Both Tough Chik & Outspoken will be raffling off coveted merch, gift baskets & more! Bring a business card!

There will be a group ride to the event leaving Portfolio Coffee House in Long Beach, CA at 4:30 p.m. (http://soc.li/ep1EhHg). As it will be dark around 5 p.m. – bring both a head and tail light with you (better to been seen!). A group will be riding northbound back to Long Beach after the event as well.
